MAMA YOGINI

This album represents a call for the return of the feminine energy, and hence it is named Mama Yogini, a Buddha that embodies the primordial feminine energy.

Mama Yogini is a collection of tunes with rich and diverse music styles. The bold combination of hip hop, electronic dance music and traditional dharma verses gives the album a contemporary feel, making it appealing to listeners, young and old. Listening to the songs, one couldn’t help but vibe with the dynamic beats, and immerse oneself in the warm, inclusive and healing energy.

Words for Wish Fulfillment

The album consists of songs that Yangjin performed with the Paul Winter Consort at  the Summer Solstice Music Festival at St. John’s Cathedral, New York. The Album Miho: Journey to the Mountain, which includes the song Words for Wish Fulfillment, won 'Best New Age Album' at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Dharma Flower

The Album is the result of seamless collaboration between Yangjin and the Naran Ancient Music Band from Chiang Mai. Although Yangjin and the band had just met and didn’t speak the same language, they worked as if they had known each other for the longest time and created many musical ideas within just one week.

The album contains 12 songs with a rich blend of Tibetan female vocal, ancient Buddhist music, folk music, mantras, ancient Nalantai tunes, Pinbya, Thai flute, etc. Yangjin and the band improvised together in the inspiration of the moment. All songs were recorded on the spot, in one take.

VOICE OF TIBETAN GODESS OF MUSIC

In 2004, soon after Yangjin arrived in Taiwan, she met a couple of carefree young musicians who were members of the "Bohemian Band". Together, they regrouped, stepped out of the studio into remote monasteries in Taiwan and snowy grasslands in Tibet. They improvised and recorded live from mountains, beaches, and nature, creating brand new Tibetan spiritual music with dense layering of Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, folk instruments from the West and Tibetan mantras from the East.
